A little about me

I am Tali, a lover of travel and adventure. In the last 15 years, I’ve been living with FSHD (a form of Muscular Dystrophy). As my muscles weakened and my body’s needs changed, traveling became more and more challenging. There were falls, injuries, shame in asking for help or accommodations, constant anxiety and fear. Five years ago, I became a full-time wheelchair user. Many would think it to be the end of the road, but for me, it was regaining  freedom and finding a way back to my love of travel. Unfortunately, I also learned that there was very little reliable accessibility information for the disabled traveler.

In this blog, I want to touch on two main subjects. First is my love of travel both in my home country of Israel and overseas. I will share my tips and experiences as a wheelchair traveler in hopes of encouraging others to give it a try. Second is my most significant challenge – disability life and everything it encompasses.

Discover accessible Israel

From its ancient historical sites to its diverse landscapes and scenery, the tiny Israel has something to offer to every traveler.

For the past four years, I’ve been rediscovering my beautiful country as a wheelchair traveler. Although there is still much to improve, more and more places are made wheelchair accessible and easy to enjoy.

Hope to see you in Israel!
