One of my best accessible hotel experiences, although not a cheap one.
Parking – only a couple of accessible parking spaces were available at the hotel, all full when we arrived. The hotel staff couldn’t help us, and we parked in a regular spot (which meant I had to transfer into my wheelchair first, and someone else parked the car).
The room – the wheelchair-accessible room was great. Spacious enough to add an extra bed (there were 3 of us).
The bathroom – the bathroom was spacious, with an accessible shower with grab bars and shower chair, grab bars next to the toilet, and a roll-under sink. The only negative was a very low toilet (which wasn’t the case in the hotel’s public restrooms).
Pools – the outdoor pool had a pool lift. I didn’t visit the hot tub and the indoor saltwater pool, but I was told they all also had a lift.
Beach – a paved path to the beach. For those who could walk, there was s ramp with railings into the water. There were no amphibious chairs at the hotel beach, but at the “Ein Bokek” public beach located a 5 minutes walk from the hotel, there were amphibious chairs at the lifeguard tower.
Overall a good, accessible hotel.
